Deconstruction of the Cox Brook Dam began on 08/28/08! Thanks to the efforts of many folks, including especially the Mad Dog chapter, Hebert Excavating of Williamstown, VT knocked the first hole in Cox Brook Dam to lower the impoundment water level and allow a portion of the work area to dry out over the upcoming holiday weekend. On a tip from Mad Dog Chapter Prez, Clark Amadon, it looks like part of the US Rte 2 bridge being demolished in Middlesex unintentionally fell into the river today. Read more here.
